He holds a BA Hons in Translation and Interpreting from the Universidade de Vigo, Spain, in 2009, a postgraduate degree in Interpreting, Translation and Diplomacy from the Westminster University, UK, in 2010, a master’s degree in Foreign Language teaching from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, Spain, in 2011, a PhD in Language Sciences from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Spain, in 2016.

 

He has gained public funding in competitive calls from the Spanish Government to conduct his doctoral thesis Digital language learning from a multilingual perspective: the use of online language resources in the one-to-one classroom, supervised by Professor Daniel Cassany. He is or has been a member of several competitive research projects;IES2.0, Fandom en España e ICUDEL, being contracted as a postdoctoral researcher in the latter until June 2017. He is a member of the research groups GRAEL, Pompeu Fabra University, Spain, y del Lancaster Litaracy Research Centre, Lancaster University, United Kingdom, and has been a member of the research group Práticas de escrita e de reflexão sobre a escrita em diferentes mídias, Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Brazil.

 

Having gained further public funding from Galicia’s government to conduct postdoctoral research, in June 2017 he enters the research team in Stellae as a postdoctoral researcher and the research group Didactics and School Subjects from the Southern University of Denmark, Denmark, as a visiting researcher.
