She is a Primary School teacher specializing in French (1980) and English (1984) at the schools “Nuestra Señora Fuencisla” in Segovia and “Santa María” in Madrid. She also has a degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the Autonomous University of Madrid (1983) and Educational Sciences (Pedagogy, 1991 and Psycho-pedagogy, 1996) from the University of Santiago de Compostela. She has also taken doctoral courses (years 92-94) at the Department of Didactics and School Organization. She worked as a Primary School teacher until 1985, when she became an associate secondary school teacher of Spanish. Since the 1998-1998 academic year, she has coordinated the Orientation Department at the Antonio Fraguas Secondary School in Santiago de Compostela. She is currently a department chairperson in Secondary School.

 

Her teaching activities are complemented by her work as an associate professor (1997) in the Department of Didactics and School Organization (University of Santiago). She has also collaborated with the ICE since 1986. She teaches Language and Literature Didactics at the Master’s Degree in Secondary Teacher Training. She also coordinates internships for the students at the Faculty of Education Sciences.

 

Her professional concerns involve catering to students with special needs, school coexistence and the prevention of absenteeism among students. It is also important to highlight her participation intraining activities, and her cooperation in the organization of conferences and courses. She has organized training activities regarding Didactics of Language and Literature, teacher training and psycho-pedagogical counseling.

 

As a member of the Stellae Group, she has actively participated in the projects that have been carried out to date and those that are currently in process (research projects, master's, etc...).
