Fernando Fraga, a member of the Research Group Stellae, developed in collaboration with the Program Virtual Learning Environments / Sectorial Commission on Education of the University of the Republic of Uruguay, the course for university teachers Personal Learning Environments and Academic Social Networks in University Teaching.

The purpose of the course is the development by the faculty of the possibilities that the Personal Learning Environments offer for university teaching. It focuses on the design of training proposals consistent with the potential that these types of structures offer. In order to do this, it is necessary to take into account didactic and pedagogical elements that allow to put in value the strength of these learning scenarios today. The proposal focused on the construction of spaces that enable the students to create their own Electronic Portfolios in relation to the educational planning.

This involved the treatment of the teaching and learning processes from a perspective that allows students to use these digital tools as a sample of their own learning

The training proposal has taken into account the experience accumulated in the University of Santiago de Compostela by the Stellae Research Group in the use of Electronic Portfolios over the last 10 years. This work has been developing both in face-to-face university teaching. The experience developed allows us to offer specific knowledge to support the training and evaluation processes.
