Silvia López wins the second prize of RUTE (University Network of Educational Technology) for the best doctoral thesis about technology. These awards were given during the University Conference on Educational Technology that took place in Santander (JUTE 2019).

The thesis, which is entitled "Descriptive and interpretative analysis of the design and content of video games produced in Galicia", has as its fundamental purpose, contribute to the compilation and analysis of video games developed in Galicia, focusing mainly on those aimed at education . To this end, a videogame evaluation guide is designed, validated and applied to describe and interpret the technical, pedagogical, playful and functional characteristics of Galician videogames developed with educational intentionality that can also be reused independently and applied. the other contexts. The investigation is structured in two closely linked parts:

- The theoretical framework, which is based on the research from the perspective of studies on video games in education, thus laying the foundation on which to support the next part of the inquiry.

- The empirical study, which consists of four well differentiated parts, with the aim that each one of them suppose a contribution in itself: compilation and selection of videogames, elaboration of the evaluation guide, application of the guide the one representative sample , analysis and discussion of the results obtained.

The prize was collected by the director of the thesis, Jesús Rodríguez, who is accompanied in the photo by the other winners (or directors)
