On December 3rd and 4th, Dra. Virginia Rodés, of the University of the Republic (Uruguai) and member of G.I. Stellae, Will teach a course about Grounded Theory on the Faculty of Science of Education (USC). In this course it is proposed to introduce the Grounded Theory method in the framework of qualitative data analysis. There will be a brief tour of the main procedures, processes and components of the method, and then work based on examples and case studies applied to the field of educational research.

This course is directed to researchers, teachers and advanced students, will last 8 hours, at 10:00 am. at 2:00 pm, and Sarmiento will be taught in the classroom. Coa following programming:

Day 3 of December (10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.)

- A Theory Based on qualitative research.

- Processes: description, conceptual ordering and development of theory.

- Theoretical sample: case selection methods; constant comparison method.

- Exemplary qualitative data analysis based on Theory Based on educational research.

- Exemplary presentation of results in Grounded Theory.

- Application of the Theory Based on practical research cases accredited by participating participants.
