Mª del Pilar Vidal Puga

Professional Profile

She has a bachelors degree in Philosophy and Educational Sciences and a 3-year degree in Teaching from USC, graduating with honors in both cases. She obtained the Advances Studies Diploma (DEA) with a research study entitled: “Descriptive Study on the Integration of Computers and Multimedia Education Materials in Primary Schools in Galicia”. This project was a part of the doctoral courses organized by the Department of Didactics and School Organization at University of Santiago. She was granted a doctoral fellowship by the Governmentof Galicia and another doctoral fellowship to work in the field of University Teacher Training (FPU) by the Ministry of Education and Science (MEC). She was also a MEC post-doctoral fellow.

 

In 2005 she obtained a PhD in Educational Sciences from the University of Santiago de Compostela. In her dissertation she tackled the issue of ICT integration at the organizational, professional and curricular level. She carried out a case study involving a Primary School in Galicia. In addition, she is now a coordinator in Spain and Portugal of a research and exchange group known as “FormAI: teacher training to perform in computer learning environments”. This project was awarded first prize at the Certamen Intercampus de Investigación y docencia en la Red 2004 (www.campusred.net/certamen) in the research and doctoral thesis category. She has also participated in several research projects at a national and international level and done research stays at universities and schools abroad, as well as participating in scientific events (courses, conferences, seminars, etc...).

 

She has extensive teaching experience at a variety of levels, from early education to postgraduate studies.
