The magazine " IEEE-RITA Revista Iberoamericana de Tecnologías de Aprendizaje ", official publication of the IEEE Education Society, requests articles for a monographic issue on "Desafíos al campo educativo: La competencia digital”. This monograph has, as invited editors, members of the GI Stellae Adriana Gewerc (University of Santiago de Compostela) and Virginia Rodés-Paragarino (University of the Republic, Uruguay); and with the colleague Donatella Persico, from the Institute for Technology Didattiche Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, Genoa, Italy.

This special issue admits articles that try to identify, share and value experiences, projects and good practices focused on the analysis and evaluation of digital competence in the educational field. Among others, they are intended to address issues such as:
