The Stellae Research Group recently participated in the presentation of issue 92 of the Revista Galega de Educación (Galician Education Journal), held at the Faculty of Education Sciences of the University of Santiago de Compostela on 11 November. The event served as a meeting point to reflect on the present and future of educational digitisation in Galicia, the central theme of this new monograph entitled ‘A Dixitalización e E-Dixgal nas aulas’ (Digitisation and E-Dixgal in the classroom).

Professor Silvia López Gómez was responsible for presenting the monograph, highlighting the main contributions and challenges it covers in relation to the implementation of E-Dixgal and the integration of digital technologies in the Galician educational context.

In the Social Education section, Carolina González Rodríguez presented her article ‘Ludo Libre: prevention of face-to-face and online gambling in secondary schools in Baixo Miño’, in which she addresses the need to promote preventive and educational practices in the face of new forms of addiction and risk among young people.

Ana Rodríguez Guimeráns and Pablo Gayo presented the document ‘Measures necessary to improve digitisation in Galician classrooms’, in addition to their article, in which group member Ana Parada also participates, included in the section on Attention to Diversity, under the title ‘Inclusion and Digitisation in Galicia’, in which they analyse the role of technologies as a tool for promoting more equitable and accessible education.

The session also featured the participation of Andrea Maroñas Bermúdez, former director of the Revista Galega de Educación (Galician Education Magazine) and professor at the Faculty of Education Sciences, who shared her thoughts on the magazine’s editorial project and on the work of the Nova Escola Galega (New Galician School) pedagogical renewal movement, of which the publication is a part.
