On February 8, the predoctoral researchers of the group, Ana Rodríguez Guimeráns and Pablo Gayo Pérez, who are working on their doctoral theses in the field of educational materials and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), met in Friol with their thesis advisor and research group member, Jesús Rodríguez Rodríguez, to discuss the current state of these topics. Also participating in the meeting were doctors Marcos Pinaque and Montserrat Castro.
This gathering took place as part of the Friol Film Days, where the documentary Paxaros de algodón was screened. Afterward, Pablo Gayo discussed the concept of ASD, Ana Rodríguez Guimeráns addressed myths and realities about the condition, and Marcos Pinaque spoke about its impact in classrooms. At the same time, it is noteworthy that the day before, the project for the Integral Center for People with ASD, which will be built in the municipality of Lugo, was presented.
This meeting is expected to generate various initiatives that will highlight the research being conducted by the group and within the Galician context.
