On 28 and 29 April, the Faculty of Education Sciences at the University of Santiago de Compostela will host the 11th Conference on Teaching Materials and Educational Resources: from the local context, a free event aimed at students of Education and teacher-training programmes, social educators, teachers at all educational levels, pedagogues, educational psychologists, and people interested in teaching materials and educational resources. The initiative is organised by Nova Escola Galega and the

CAVILA research group, with the collaboration, among other entities, of the Stellae Research Group.

In this edition, Stellae members Jesús Rodríguez Rodríguez and Denébola Álvarez-Seoane are part of the coordination of the event, further highlighting the group’s commitment to promoting spaces for dialogue, reflection and exchange on teaching materials and educational resources. In addition, Denébola Álvarez-Seoane will deliver the opening lecture, entitled “Os materiais didácticos elaborados con perspectiva local”, focused on the value of teaching materials developed from a contextualised perspective closely linked to the local environment. The programme also includes contributions on the Ulla-Elemental Educational Programme, teaching materials for education and children’s literature, resources for approaching architecture, and an open educational resource on media and digital literacy for the management of scientific information, thus offering a programme of clear interest for different professional profiles in the field of education.
