Scott H. Solberg, analyses the interventions aimed at the development of social and emotional learning skills implemented both in education and in the workplace, offering recommendations for the design of interventions that reflect the social, cultural and political contexts of the countries of the Global North.
The book to which the chapter belongs, Social and Emotional Learning as Foundation for Future Readiness: Translating Research to Practice, offers a global perspective on social and emotional learning skills, which are key to promoting educational and employment success. Collaborative research between researchers from 19 different countries re-examines the assumptions underpinning professional development theory and practice.
