The members of the Stellae Research Group Adriana Gewerc, Fernando Fraga-Varela and Leizer Fernandes Moraes participate between October 21 and 24 in the XIX Latin American Conference on Learning Technologies LACLO2024 (https://laclo2024.org/). This is considered the most important event in education, computing and technology in Latin America.
Adriana Gewerc, Fernando Fraga-Varela and Leizer Fernandes Moraes attended to present the work entitled “Use of social networks by IFG undergraduate students: gaps that open spaces for a new digital colonization”, with a positive evaluation by the reviewers for its publication in the Springer proceedings corresponding to the series “Lecture Notes of Educational Technology”. This occurs in a very demanding context given that more than 150 works have been presented, of which less than 50% have been positively valued.
GI Stellae is also involved in the organization of LACLO’s satellite event: the first Latin American Open Science and Open Education event. These conferences represent the first joint activity of the relationship between the REUNID network (of which GI Stellae is a member) and the Open Data Network in Education. There, Adriana Gewerc, together with Rocío Anguita (coordinator of REUNID) present the work that has been done in REUNID to support Science and Open Education.
