Last week the 15th International Conference on Textbooks and Educational Media organized by IARTEM was held at the University College Lillebaelt in Odense (Denmark).
One of the most relevant events of this conference has been the presentation of the book IARTEM 1991-2016: 25 years developing textbook and educational media research, coordinated by Jesús Rodríguez Rodríguez (member of the Stellae group), Tania Braga García and Eric Bruillard. This work includes the voice of 25 researchers who shared concerns and reflections on teaching materials and textbooks during the period indicated.
Likewise, in this event Jesús Rodríguez Rodríguez, after four years of intense work, has given the presidency of the IARTEM to Professor Eric Bruillard although he will continue to lead the initiatives with Latin America and will continue to be part of the work team of the magazine E -journal.
It should also be noted that in this International Conference the Stellae group has had a great role in the different parallel sessions in which the following works were presented:
- “Literature review in the international context on research related to Digital Didactic Materials, Information and Communication Technologies and Psysical Education” by Alberto Sanmiguel, Carmen Denébola Álvarez and Jesús Rodríguez.
- “Teaching materials in hospital classrooms: a proposal to meet the specific nedds of your students” by Jesús Rodríguez, Yésica Teijeiro and Antía Cores.
- “Research trends on music textbooks according to the first Symposium of Music Education and Didactic Materials” by Rosa Vicente and Guilherme Romanelli.
- “The vision of those responsible for developing learning materials in municipal educational contexts” by Carmen Denébola Álvarez and Jesús Rodríguez.
- “Analysis of the characteristics of the digital didactic materials used and developed by the teachers themselves: case study of two primary schools in Galicia (Spain)” by Jesús Rodríguez, Carmen Denébola Álvarez and Montserrat Castro.
